- What do you love most about yourself?
- Has someone ever made you feel different? How did that feel?

- What makes your hair special?
After reading Nia’s Focus Journey:
- Can you think of a time when something new felt scary?
- What does the firefly represent to you?
- What helps you feel brave when you are nervous?
- What does “start small” mean?
After reading Malik’s Crown:
- What is something you are proud of about yourself?
- Why is it important to celebrate who you are?
- What does it mean to “wear your crown”?
Classroom Activities
- Crown Craft: Each child decorates their own paper crown with things that make them special.
- Mirror Affirmations: Children say one thing they love about themselves in the mirror.
